Campervan Rental - Wicked Campers

CAMPING

Just turn up. You will find a space to camp. The all year round places will be booked up, but there are camping areas that get opened up just for the MardiGrass. They usually involve paying a fee at the gate for however long you are staying. You don't have to book.

If you have other camping space available, contact us and get it listed here.....

In 2008, for the first time ever, the Nimbin Agricultural and Industrial Society (A&I) opened the showground for camping and parking for the MardiGrass weekend. The A & I don’t get the Government grants they used to get and urgently need funds to maintain the place. They can also help minimise the impact of so many visitors to the village over the big weekend. That was such a success they are going to keep doing it.

MARDIGRASS 2010 ALL WEEKEND PASS AND CAMPSITE $80 per person

Includes $40 weekend MardiGrass Golden Bud Pass gives entry to all events Friday, Saturday and Sunday

Includes $40 for a campsite with toilets and showers for all or part of Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights

Extra nights camping $15 each (for early arrivals and late departures)

Purchasers will receive a number and receipt which will be exchanged for an armband after showing ID at MardiGrass entry points or the HEMP Embassy from the wednesday before the big weekend.

Camping ground opens Thursday. If you want camping with hot showers arrive early. There will still be plenty of other camping, but with cold showers or none...

BUY A 2010 MardiGrass WEEKEND PASS with CAMPING Online

The main reason to buy ahead is if camping is required, to guarantee a camping site with showers. Otherwise passes can be bought on the day from the information booth outside the Town Hall. You can't miss it.

Nimbin Rox Backpackers have parking and camping along their approach roads.

Border Ranges Centre (Wadeville Woolies) now has camping and a couple of cabins. They have a website http://www.borderrangescentre.com.au

The rates per night are:
heaps of camping sites - $10/adult $5/child < 14
2 x queen bed cabin - $50/room
3 x 4 person bunk cabin - $20/person
8 x powered sites - $22/night
